The mission of Performance Edge, Inc. is to provide superior performance arts training and opportunities that will attract a diverse group of young people. Through intensive individual and group training and performance, Performance Edge strives to enhance the cultural life of the entire community.
Be a part of a unique group of performers who will participate in a week-long summer showcase combining learning, performing, and fun! This week will include concentrated sessions on vocal technique, choreography styles with guest choreographers, staging and production, auditioning techniques, and judged auditions for spotlight solos. The week culiminates with an exciting final performance featuring group selections with live accompaniment as well as individual spotlight solos.
Selected students from the showcase will serve as musical ambassadors for the Capital area performing in a variety of musical events and settings.
The Tour of Champions event series is an exciting live entertainment format featuring seven of the top corps from last summer, giving fans the opportunity to immerse themselves in the drum corps experience with exclusive fan-member interaction, pre-show and intermission entertainment, and an en-masse finale on top of the corps' traditional competitive productions.
*Champions Up Close Small ensembles of corps members will perform for fans as they enter the stadium, as well as during intermission. Plus, you'll have the chance to "meet and greet" with members from your favorite corps before and after the show!
*Opening Ceremony A unique display of tradition, respect and innovation will be utilized to present the American Flag and the National Anthem.
*En Masse Finale A spectacular post-show finale will delight fans old and new when all seven corps' brass sections, along with a few percussion and color guard members, perform together.
